Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide and a selective agonist at the ghrelin/growth-hormone-secretagogue (GHS) receptor. In-vitro and preclinical research literature describes stimulation of pulsatile growth-hormone release from pituitary somatotrophs.
