Overview
DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide) is a nonapeptide with the sequence Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu, first isolated from the cerebral venous blood of rabbits. It is a small, water-soluble peptide produced synthetically for research use. Unlike receptor-defined neuropeptides, its specific molecular target remains incompletely characterized in the literature, and it is studied largely through its physiological and signaling correlates. It is used as a reference peptide in neuroendocrine and chronobiology research.

Handling & storage
Supplied lyophilized for laboratory reconstitution, typically in bacteriostatic water to the working concentration your protocol requires (e.g. 1.5 mL into a 15 mg vial → 10 mg/mL). Add the diluent slowly down the vial wall and swirl gently; do not shake or vortex. Aliquot after reconstitution to limit freeze–thaw exposure.
