NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a dinucleotide coenzyme composed of a nicotinamide mononucleotide and an adenine mononucleotide joined through their phosphate groups. It is a central electron carrier in cellular metabolism, cycling between its oxidized (NAD+) and reduced (NADH) forms.
