Overview
Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the first 29 amino acids of human growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH 1-29), the N-terminal fragment that retains the full receptor-activating capacity of the 44-residue parent hormone. Truncating the sequence to its active core preserves biological activity while simplifying synthesis. It is supplied as the acetate salt and produced synthetically as a reference GHRH analog. It belongs to the secretin/glucagon peptide superfamily.
